Supporting young people over 26.2 miles Brighton, Sussex

We were delighted to support Richard Northrup from Barnwood Carpentry as he tackled his first marathon! Richard aimed to raise £2,622 (£100 per mile) for the Shooting Star Children's Hospices.

This organisation cares for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families across Surrey and London. Whether lives are measured in days, weeks, months or years, they are here to make every moment count. They support families from diagnosis to end of life and throughout bereavement with a range of nursing, practical, emotional and medical care.

Being a dad to 2 healthy sons, Richard wanted to run the Brighton Marathon to offer his support to life-limited children and their families and ended up smashing his target!
