Rainshield
Also known as Splayed cladding, Rainshield is a rhombus shape, installed with a 5-10mm decorative gap between the board. The boards sit adjacent to one another, without being interlocked or connected, allowing air to circulate the boards and therefore helping to prevent the build-up of mildew and mould behind the cladding. Essentially an outer ‘skin’ with a ventilated cavity, the cladding must only be installed in front of watertight surfaces. Available with either a 30 degree or 45 degree splay.
