Seasoned Oak Lintels

Product Overview

Seasoned oak lintels are suitable for internal or external use, where the genuine look and feel of a traditional Oak beam is desired. Through the drying process, the beams develop splits across the surface and deeper shakes to the heart which give an aged look - perfectly suited to period properties. Each lintel is graded to TH2 structural grade to ensure that it is structurally sound. The lintel sections can be used for a variety of other purposes, such as mantelpieces, beams and ceiling joists.

Grade overview

Our Seasoned Lintels are structurally sound to TH2 grade, and may contain knots, sap and other natural features. Drying splits and shakes develop during the seasoning process and can be quite substantial - especially on larger sections. Provided the beam is structurally sound, these are not considered a defect.
