Hewins Oak Frame Kits provide a simple, affordable way of bringing the status and genuine appeal of an Oak frame to your home.

Sawn from sustainably grown European Oak, the frame members are carefully machined and fully prepared for assembly, incorporating classic joint designs and features. Our range of traditional designs provides for many tastes and varied situations, though we can also work with modifications to these, or even completely bespoke designs.

Our team will be glad to go over the options with you and also discuss how you intend to erect, clad and finish the frame.

Grade overview

European grade QP1; largely clear sections with some tolerance of knots and other natural defects. Sapwood up to 15% of the face, and limited wane is permitted to the edges. Some heart trace is possible on two faces, and the occasional dead knot is allowed. Full grading rules are available on request.
